My Top Three Healthy Treats

My older sisters and I are verging on obsessed with finding and creating delicious healthy treats that really help curb those notorious sweet cravings! These are my top three treats which are quick, simple, extra tasty and I can guarantee they’ll satisfy even the sweetest tooth!

Raw Ferrero Rochers:

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups of pitted dates
  • 2.5 cups of roasted (not salted) hazelnuts
  • Two tables spoons of coco
  • A pinch of salt
  • A splash of vanilla
  • Honey (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil

Blend the ingredients until they come together and take on a smooth, moussey texture. At that point pop the mixture into a bowl and into the freezer to harden enough to roll. Once the mix is cool and workable roll it into balls, rolling a whole roasted hazelnut into the center. To make your Ferreros a little extra special, dip them into melted sugar and dairy free chocolate (Canderel make a really delicious version) and roll them in finely chopped roasted hazelnuts!

Raw Cookie Dough Truffles:

For the “Dough”:

  • 1.5 cups of oat flour
  • 6/7 pitted dates
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 Tablespoons of vanilla
  • A squeeze of honey (to taste)
  • 1/2 a cup of coconut oil

Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until it forms a dough-like, rollable texture! (Adjust the amount of coconut oil you add until you get the right texture – you might need a bit more or less – if you feel you’ve reached the right texture before having added the entire 1/2 cup)

Dairy-Free, Sugar-Free Iced Chocolate:

This “recipe” (in quotation marks because of just how damn simple it is!), is such an easy sweet treat and really does the job of fulfilling your sweet cravings in a minimal amount of time!

Ingredients:

  • A heaped teaspoon of “Nomu – Skinny Hot Chocolate” (1 per person)
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 cup of non-dairy milk (I love Almond or Rice milk with mine)

Blend all the ingredients in a good, strong blender, like a Nutribullet, that’ll get the ice really nice and fine. Once blended serve in glasses and enjoy!

*Ice is safe to use in your Nutribullet, when being blended with a liquid!
